So imagine our surprise when we are winding our way through the steep terrain and not even a half mile from the cache site we find this....
#1999 (Once I Was All Broken Up but Now, Under a Barrel) was a quick find along the road once we saw that the truck was out of the way and we were back on our way up to the Original Stash.
And as I mentioned before, this was Mark's 2000th find and I surprised him by presenting him with a 2000 finds commemorative geocoin.** Plus we found a pathtag in the cache too so that was an awesome bonus!
So we trekked all the way back and found that the actual road we should have taken was not torn up and much easier to walk down.
Oh and have I mentioned I'm not a fan of cold and snow? -------------------------------->
The day's total was 11 caches. List below.
**Geo-Achievement coins are often given by fellow geocachers or family members as a trackable reward item of the accomplishment. Like other Geocoins and Travel Bugs, these coins can be activated and then released into a geocache to be found and moved around the world by other geocachers, but these commemorative coins are often activated but then saved in a geocachers personal collection.
