It is very easy to get caught up in all the tourist areas and expensive activities that Key West has to offer. I know we sure did the first time we visited here a few years ago. I mean, who doesn't want to escape winter and go snorkeling, diving, jet-skiing, kayaking or one of many other warm-water based excursions? All things that help you to unwind and forget about the bitter cold climate you are likely escaping.
But before you start booking your activities for your visit to Key West, here are our travel tips and destination recommendations that can save you some money and help you explore the best of Key West:
The start of our 10 day Florida trip was two nights and one full day in Miami. In order to save a little money, we stayed at an Airbnb in northern Miami and, if you discount our "foodie" dinner at Siena Tavern, spent the day exploring for under $50. Here's how we spent our day and what I would highly recommend doing if you are ever in the southern Miami/South Beach area.
Geocachers, foodies, photogs, DogVacay hosts and aspiring digital nomads. We are Mark and Kris Kuhn. Wanderlusters and a fun-loving couple continually looking for new adventures and striving for a life without regrets. Years from now, we don't want to look back on a life missed opportunities.
